Tucson FemGA, YWCA
It was a blast. Ours was an intimate group of 5, and we met in the beautiful Historic YWCA where we have our new Occupy Tucson office (www.HistoricY.com). I”ve attached a picture that Doctress Neutopia took of our sisters.
We gathered at 2 to talk about the history of women’s political clout. One member was surprised to learn that the Equal Rights Amendment could not get the required support in 1972. We talked about Julia Ward Howe and Eleanor Roosevelt. We discussed perceived differences in male and female energy and what women bring to the Occupy Movement that is unique and valuable. It was truly awesome. A memory I will cherish for many a future moon.
And, on the topic of the moon, the good news is that Doctress Neutopia & I had a chat about setting up regular meetings to coincide with either the full or the new moon, to gather the Occupy Women to dance, dine, do yoga, and connect. We are so blessed with gorgeous physical space to house our operations. Can you imagine? – the Y *W* CA. This place is full of strong feminine energy and it makes a perfect nest for fledgling Matriots.
Love & Peace from the Old Pueblo,
Mary
